Private Music

Lessons

Our goal is to provide every student with fundamental instruction and build them up to playing their favorite songs.

Even if you’re able to play some rockin’ riffs, we’re still going to make sure you have a strong grasp on counting and reading.

Why? Because having those skills will allow you to become a better player and you’ll be so excited anytime you’ve mastered a new song.

Piano/Keyboard

Ukulele

Ukulele is the ideal string instrument for beginners, especially for kids as young as six. Students learn basic chords, strumming patterns, and simple songs. Skills learned on Ukulele are easily transferred to guitar once students build finger strength. Watch our video to learn why the ukulele is awesome at any age. Read our gear recommendations for ukulele.

Guitar

Students learn basics like counting, reading music and lead sheets, chords, strumming techniques, and advanced fingerpicking. Lessons are catered to either acoustic or electric guitar. If you’re not sure about which to choose checkout our video about the differences between acoustic vs electric guitar. Read our gear recommendations for guitar.

Drums

Drums are awesome if you love a more physical instrument. Students learn stick control, timing, and coordination along fundamental techniques and reading drum notation. Acoustic drums are generally a non-starter for parents (and anyone who cares about their roommates), but electric drum sets can be used with headphones, bringing the noise level down to that of a drum pad. We recommend all students

Start with a music discovery session

Our 15-minute music consult is a relaxed, no-pressure opportunity to explore music lessons for you (or your child). Meetings are held in our music studio so you can get a feel for the space, ensuring it’s a comfortable, welcoming environment where you (and your child) feel safe and supported.

During this session, we’ll chat about your goals for the lessons so that we can find the best starting point. We’ll also discuss musical interests—favorite genres, songs, or artists—and how we can make lessons engaging and fun by incorporating those. By the end of the session, you’ll have a clear understanding of what to expect.
